 Bengaluru, July 06 (Karnataka Information) : Vice-President Mr. Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate the platinum jubilee celebrations of Mount Carmel institutions at the College's Diamond Jubilee Auditorium on 9 July 2022.

Mr Naidu will be joined by the Governor of Karnataka, Mr. Thaawar Chand Gehlot, for the inauguration, along with Rev Dr .Sr .Chris, Superior General, Carmelite Sisters of  St Teresa (CSST), who will preside over the function.

Chief Minister Mr . Basavaraj Bommai, Sr, Bernice Therese, Provincial Superior, CSST, former Governor Smt Margaret Alva, former  chief minister Mr. S.M.Krishna, former chief ministers,  Mr Veerappa Moily, and Mr H D Kumaraswamy are among the several dignitaries who will grace the occasion, along with top bureaucrats.

The Vice-President will release a special postal cover to commemorate 75 years of MCC, followed by the inauguration.

Dr.Sr. Chris will deliver the presidential address, Dr .Sr. Arpana, Principal, Mount Carmel College, Autonomous, will welcome the gathering and Most Rev Dr. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore, will deliver the benedictory speech.

The institution marks 75 years of its glorious existence since 1948, scripting success stories of confident, competent and compassionate Carmelites. With the motto of empowering through education, the Mount Carmel Institutions has remained a great source of inspiration and a guiding light to many.
