Applications invited for Indian Administrative Fellowship from spirited senior professionals

      The Government of Karnataka, under the visionary guidance of the Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa and dynamic leadership of the Minister for Planning, Programme Implementation and Statistics M. C. Narayana Gowda has started Internship Programme from the time of COVID-19 pandemic as per NITI Aayoga model.

Many research candidates have come forward without any financial assistance to help the Government with their ideas and problem solutions and they are awarded with a Certificate. 

 

As many as 81 candidates have submitted their Internship research report and received Certificate from Government. Also, 80 researches are in progress. 

 

The best suggestions and analysis in their reports are being utilized by the respective departmental authorities.

 

 

This will increase the speed and size of the State's development projects.

 

In a similar pattern, Government has partnered with The Nudge Foundation through its Centre for Social Innovation to invite applications for the Indian Administrative Fellowship. 

 

The 12 Indian Administrative Fellows paid by The Nudge Foundation to work with Secretaries of 11 departments on state projects of strategic relevance linked to the Sustainable Development Goals 2030. 

 

The fellowship will be for a duration of 18-months where the fellows being high achievers with rich experience of leading large scale initiatives as GM/VP/CXO of large organizations in diverse sectors to work directly with the Government of Karnataka. 

 

 

The Indian Administrative Fellowship aims to accelerate the state’s growth on developmental indicators through innovation and partnerships. 

 

Each fellow will gain access to extensive leadership development by the Administrative Training Institute, Mysore, and other industry-leading partners, and shall be expected to deliver SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely) outcomes on their respective projects.

 

The Nudge Foundation is a “Guide Star Platinum Transparency” level non-profit working to alleviate poverty sustainably and at scale. The Nudge is supported by Tata Trusts, NITI Aayog, Skoll, Rockefeller, Omidyar, Facebook, Indus Towers, Cisco, HDFC Bank, HSBC, KPMG, Mphasis, HCL Foundation, and 50+ corporates and foundations.

 

The Nudge Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) exists to nudge and nurture top talent to solve India’s toughest development challenges. Since 2017, the center has incubated 80+ nonprofits, whose work has reached over 9 million lives.

 

Through this partnership with The Nudge Foundation, the Government of Karnataka will enhance administrative capacity with senior, dedicated professionals who can bring strategic acumen, entrepreneurial drive, as well as execution capability to various departments. Each Fellow on Special Duty (Fellow) will be chartered to strategize and execute programs to address a critical developmental problem. The fellows would also receive a nominal stipend of up to INR 20 lacs p.a. for the duration of the fellowship through CSR sponsorship received by The Nudge Foundation. 

 

The Secretary to Government and representatives of The Nudge Foundation will select the appropriate candidates and during this period the selected candidates will be able to comply with the rules of the Government.

 

Facilitated by the Department of Planning, this Fellowship Programme will cover 11 departments focusing on Sustainable Development Goals. The details of projects proposed and expertise required is given in the annexure.
