We, a group of likeminded friends and residents of the UAE, formed the “Sri Shankara Seva Samiti U.A.E” in 2022 with the heartfelt intention of preserving and promoting our cultural and religious traditions while living abroad.Being far from our homeland, we believe it is vital to uphold our customs, especially for the benefit of our younger generations who are growing up in a different cultural environment. To ensure they remain connected to our roots and values, we established this Samiti. Since our inception, the Samiti has enthusiastically organized a variety of cultural and religious events such as Ganeshotsava, Shivaratri, Sri Ramotsava, Dasara, and Acharya Jayanti celebrations. These events have been conducted with the heartfelt support and participation of our community members.
Encouraged by the success and participation in these programs, we are motivated to continue hosting such events in the future, with even greater spirit and scale.Most recently, on Saturday, May 3rd, we celebrated the Jayanti Utsav of Sri Adi Shankaracharya and Sri Acharya Ramanuja in Dubai. The event featured music, Soundarya Lahari recitation, Veda Ghosa, bhajans,Pakkalli Utsav, and other cultural performances. The celebration was held under the leadership of Shri Lakshmish Ajjampura and with the full cooperation of our community members. It was a vibrant and spiritually uplifting event.We are pleased to share the photographs and video footage of the program with you.
